My yoga journey began in my twenties when I started to practice Iyengar yoga. I instantly began to feel stronger and healthier on a physical level plus more relaxed and content on a mental level. This led to me realising that I had found a permanent place for yoga in my life and now I wish to share the passion I feel and the benefits I have gained with my students.
I am a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga Diploma Teacher. The two years I spent in this Level 4 teacher training have given me the skills to teach a range of yoga practices to people of all levels and abilities. My own learning develops as I continue to take workshops and attend regular classes, this benefits my personal practice as well as helping me to evolve as a teacher.
My classes include postures (asanas), breath work (pranayama) and relaxation – I feel that this provides a well-balanced lesson. I believe in fitting the practice to the student (not fitting the student to the practice) and therefore will offer modifications or props where necessary to make sure the postures are safe and comfortable for the individual.
I offer a range of yoga classes and have taught in offices, leisure centres, one to ones as well as general classes for all levels. I currently work in Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Ruislip, Hayes and surrounding areas.
