  • Hello and welcome to Yogamind

I’m glad that you have decided to dedicate some time to practising yoga.

A typical yoga class will include physical poses, breathing exercises and meditation. Practising yoga can help you to feel stronger, more flexible and “comfortable” within your body and to achieve a relaxed and peaceful mind.

Below are a few guidelines that will help you to prepare for the yoga class:

Wear comfortable clothes and bear in mind that you will have to remove your shoes and socks before practising.

    • Please bring your yoga mat if you have one. There will be some spare mats in class that you can borrow if you don’t own one.
    • It’s not recommended to practice yoga on a full stomach. Allow 2 hours break between a heavy meal and the yoga class.
    • You may like to bring a blanket to cover yourself up during relaxation. Keeping yourself warm will help you relax.
    • Remember that yoga is not a competition. You should be focused on yourself and listening to your own body. If at any point you feel uncomfortable in a posture please don’t hesitate to let me know and I will help you to modify the pose to make it more suitable for you.
    • Be patient and enjoy your yoga practice.

Looking forward to seeing you at my yoga class,

    Pati
